Dolphin birthday

We have started our family summer vacation weeks and have started our annual visiting tour in the north of Norway where both me and my husband come from. That means that I have some extra time to craft in the evenings.

We have plenty of ocean here on the coast of Norway, but not dolphins, but as long as I can play with paper dolphins I am happy.

I used this beautiful sketch at CAS(E) this sketch and got totally inspired by the Color Throwdown and the result is this card.

I started making the background using the layered ocean stamps and inks from Hero arts June My monthly hero kit. I masked of the ocean and mixed several distress inks and some white Hero Arts ink to create a pretty blush color for the sky. I also used some of the same marine colored ink I used for the ocean to make the border that sealed of the ocean and sky.

Then for the images. The dolphins are from the Hero Arts "You and me by the sea" stamp set and the sea shells are from the Hero Arts "Seas the day seagulls" set also from Hero Arts. I colored all the images using my Copic markers and glued them on the finished background panel.

Finally I covered the sea shells and some of thewaves with Wink of stella glimmer pen and gold embossed the sentiment from the Lawn Fawn "critter concert" stamp set.

I am entering this card in the following challenges:
* CAS(E) this sketch - #279
* Color Throwdown - #500
* The paper players - PP400 - Celebration
* A blog named Hero - Summertime fun
