Little boxes
I just love Newton's nook stamps. The images are really too cute and I have recently bought my first two sets. As a (almost) crazy cat lady I love the kitty images and my daughter who loves cats just as much as me had to get the first card made with the "Newton loves boxes" set.
I made this card for the Inky Paws color challenge where I hade to use black, white, red and green.
I started stamping the image. I wanted a tower of boxes so I created masks to build the tower higher using several images from the set. I then colored the box tower and the cats using my copic markers. For some highlights on the boxes and fur I used a white gel pen.
I stamped a heart on one of the boxes using a stamp set from Lawn Fawn. I also stamped the sentiment and more hearts on my background panel. I then colored the hearts red using copic markers.
I cut a frame from black and white checkered patterned paper and used that to ground my stamped image.
As finishing touches a tied a green bow around the frame and applied some glossy accents on my red hearts and the orange kitty's nose.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
* Inky Paws challenge - #76 Color challenge
* Show us your pussycats challenges - #32 Furrything goes
* Tuesday morning sketches - #461
