Wonderful news
I'm so happy to tell you that I have been chosen to be a part of The Male Room design team. I'm really looking forward to create for this blog as they have so many fun challenges. I love a challenge and The Male Room has lots of them.
My very first task was to make something fishy and this is what I ended up making. The blue background is made using distress inks in many shades of blue to make some movement in the "water". I also spritzed it with water to make it look like air bubbles. The top panel is cut out using a stitched rectangle die.
The silver layer is made using Lindy's stamp gang starburst spray over a piece of cardstock.
The fishing net is a piece of cheese cloth that I colored using the same spray as the silver paper layer. It made the net really shimmery and beautiful.
And then came the fish. The fish are all digital stamps from Pixel paper prints on Etsy. I colored them all using my Copic markers and highlighted and added some extra details on them using a white gel pen. I also covered their bodies with Wink of stella glitter brush to give them a little shine.
I finished the card gluing on tiny sequins to mimic air bubbles in the water.
I really hope you will join us in making all kinds of fishy creations the next two weeks.
I'm entering the following challenges with this card:
* Simon says stamp - Monday Challenge - red, white and blue
* Simon says stamp - Wednesday challenge - Red, white and blue
* Tuesday throwdown - The great outdoors
* The Paper Players - Celebration
