Today I am sharing some summer deliciousness from and for Skull and Cross Buns. This card is made using the very cute freebie stencil that I got from Skull and Cross Buns. Emily designs a new little stencil every month to give you when you order from the website. The freebie changes every month and this was the June one. Be sure to join the Skull and Cross Buns Rubber stamps Scrumtious group to see what this months freebie is.
I love strawberries and nothing shouts summer for me like a bowl of fresh, sweet strawberries with sugar and cream. Yum! And all the better if I can eat the strawberries on the beach.
For this card I drew the outline for the strawberries using the stencil and fussycut them out. I colored the inside of the berries using my copic markers.
I then stamped a sentiment from the "quirky sentiments" stamp set all over the background. I used black ink except one that I stamped using red ink.
I matted the background using black cardstock and popped it up on the card base using foam tape.
To finish the card I popped the strawberries up on foam squares and attatched the around the red sentiment and finally covered the with glossy accent to make them shine and look yummy.
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
- Simon says stamp monday challenge - Summer fun
This is really pretty. Love the background and contrasting strawberries. Lovely design. Thank you for joining Simon Says Stamp Monday Summer Fun Challenge!ReplyDelete
