Life is beautiful

Well...doesn't time just fly. It's already time for a new challenge at The Male Room Challenge. This time we have an anything goes-challenge for you, but if you're up for it we encourage you to do the optional twist of origami in your project.

For my design team project I made this CAS card with a stamped origami paper plane and handstitching.

I started by coloring a blob of light blue using distress oxcide ink to suggest the sky. I then stamped my paper plane from the "Yappy happy mail" stamp set by Heffy Doodle. I then stamped my sentiment from the April My Monthly Hero kit.

I colored my plane using a white gel pen and a silver pen for the shadowed part of the plane.

I poked holes where I wanted the plane's flying trail to go, connecting the plane and the sentiment, before I handstiched the trail using dark grey embroidery thread. I connected the flying trail dots using a silver gel pen.

I cut my panel to size using a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die before matting the panel with some silver glitter cardstock. I glued my panel on a white cardbase and for finishing touched I covered the silver pen parts with a coat of Stardust Stickles glitter glue for some extra shine.

I really hope you will join us the next couple of weeks. I can't wait to see what you will make.

I am adding this card to the following challenges:
* Through the purple haze - #156 I've got the blues
* Jo's scrap shack - #281 Anything goes
* AAA Cards - #140 Up to one third
* Crafty sentiments designs - Pastel colors
