Birthday card with an age
Hi everyone. I'm back today to share a new card made for the brand new challenge at The Male Room Challenge today. For this challenge we are using an age on the card.
My card is for my son's friend' 6th birthday which is coming up.
For this card I used supplies from the Uniquely Creative coloring kit from February. I love the cute little dino sleeping beside his stack of books.
The coloring is by copic markers with highlights by a white gel pen. I cut the images using coordinating stamps before moving on to the background.
I cut a piece of white cardstock to size using a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die and blended yellow and green oxcide inks careful to make a soft, but still noticable difference between where the grass ends and the sunny sky starts. For the blending I used my new Picket fence Life Changing blending brushes. So much fun to work with.
I then used a sunshine stencil by MFT and white ink from hero Arts to create the sun and sunbursts. I sprinkled a few drops of water across the card to create depthin the background.
I then stamped the sentiment wich reads "6 years old" in Norwegian. My stamp set is from Citrus Twist and doesn't have the letter Å in it so I used a red cap embellishment from the kit to dot the A to make it an Å. I also colored the sentiment using my Copics.
I glued on my images on foam squares and scattered a few cap embellishments and stamped a couple of hearts and colored them red.
To finish my card I glued my card paenl on a white card base and covered the red hearts and the sentiments with glossy accents to add shine.
I hope you will join us in the age challenge the next couple of weeks.
I also urge you to take a look at the other design team members gorgeous makes. They all make me swoon. Below is a list of all the ladies on the team.

How beautifully sunny this card is! So cute and the personalisation with the age makes it extra-special for the little boy. Thanks for joining The Library.
