Icy river and a new process video

My son looked at the romantic card I showed earlier and noticed the water and asked if it was ice on the water. Of course it wasn't meant to be, but it totally gave me the idea for the card below. This card is also in part 2 of the "10 cards - 1 kit" process video featuring the April My Monthly Hero kit.

Because; It could be possible to make a scandinavian christmas scene from the Venice themed My Monthly Hero April 2019 card kit couldn't it? And as I sometimes channel my inner Barney Stinson I couldn't leave it. Challenge accepted!

I started by coloring the houses from the kit that I had cut to fit my project and that I had drawn "stamped" lines around. I chose cold grey colors and yellow for the windows. I also colored the tree and bench from the October 2018 kit. All coloring was done using my copic markers.

I made a sky and water using distress oxcides and layered the water with the uncolored water diecut to make it look like ice floating on the river.

I freehand cut snowy slopes and layered the water, slopes, houses, tree and benches on the background panel creating a christmassy scene.

I stamped a sentiment from the kit and glued the whole thing on a white card base.

To finish the card I glued on a couple of silver sequins to the ground (and possibly to cover a black smudge...)

If you want to see the process of making this card you can see it in the process video below:
