So who's up for ripping your jeans to pieces? I am! I am!

I am honored to be guest designing for Time Out Challenges the next two weeks and the challenge is "Item in your wardrobe", so of course I took the challenge quite litterally and cut my jeans to pieces. I also found an old shirt that I have previously cut to pieces as well.

I started by cutting a piece of my jeans to cover the bottom part of my card panel and glued that in place. I then glued the striped fabric to a strip of white cardstock and cut it in half. I used my eyelets (Wow! They haven't been used in a while...) to create a closing mechanism for the belt and tied a piece of string to close the belt befor I glued them to my "pants". I then used two belt hoops from my pants and glued them over the belt.

I have these really old embellishment pieces by Simple Stories that fit perfectly for this card so I glued on a lipstick, ear buds, heart and a flower. I also attached a couple of metal caps by Uniquely Creative.

To finish this card I glued my card panel on to a white card base.

I hope you will join this fun challenge at Time Out Challenges. Remember; You don't HAVE to take it quite so literally as I did...

  1. Lise you really made the star of our cards-so creative to actually use items from your wardrobe-giving lovely texture and I adore that twine you used! And then to add the pretty pink to go with the jeans....shame you can't make us all a real pair of jeans like these-super, super card and we are so pleased to have you as our GD x
