It's snowing
Early christmas card making for next christmas. Yes, indeed! I'm back sharing a card for our brand new challenge at The Male Room today. This time the theme for the challenge is "It's snowing".
I made this shaker card using the "Joy to the woods" stamp set by Lawn Fawn. I started by stamping the bird and the bird house. I then masked the stamped images before I stamped the birch trees. I then colored the images using copic markers.
Bird: R27, R24, R22, C5, C3, C9, YR07
Bird house: R27, R24, E37, E35, E29, C9
Birch trees: W7, W5, W3, W1
Sky: B000, B0000
I drew a few details and highlights using a white gel pen.
I cut a piece of left over patterned paper to create my card front and cut a window in it using a Lawn Fawn stitched square die. I backed the window with acetate and doubled up foam tape behind it to create a shaker window. I used a few snowflake shaker elements from the My Monthly Hero October 2019 kit by Hero Arts to create a snowy day.
When I had glued my shaker together I stamped and clear embossed a sentiment from the same Lawn Fawn stamp set as the images.
I glued my card panel to a white card base and the card was done.
I hope you will join us in making snowy cards. Be sure to also check out our new design team member, Clarissa.
