Three billy goats on a bridge

As a little, stubborn kid I don't want to use stuff the way it's meant to...not always anway. So the first card I made when my April My Monthly kit arrived was NOT at all a Venice card, it was a Norwegian folktale-card featuring "De tre bukkene bruse" ("The three billy goats Gruff" translated to English).

So this is what i did, Since the Norwegian mountains don't look much like Venice I added two dies from Jeanines art to make the mountains and the trees. I freehand cut the green hills and colored the sky, mountains, trees and hills using a few Distress oxcide inks in various colors.

When I had my landscape ready I used the water die from the kit to make the river by distress ink coloring three of the water diecuts and then glueing them alongside eachother on top of blue glitter paper. After I had done that I freehand cut a river to fit my landscape.

I then cut the bridge and then extending it to the both sides. I colored the bridge using my copic markers to look like a stone built bridge. I hand drew my goats, colored them and glued them to the bridge. i also cut the railing of the bridge and then glued it on again behind the goats to make the goats more visible.

I popped the bridge and goats up on foam before attatching it all to the landscape, across the river. I also glued on some trees in the background as well as a couple in front of the bridge.

To finish the card I stamped the "Happy birthday" sentiment and three birds (from the kit) before I glued the card panel to a white card base.

Such a fun card to make.
