No laundry today

I'm here to tell you something amazing today; There is NO laundry today...well, that is if it's your birthday anyway...

So today I am sharing this quite clean and simple card using the April My Monthly hero kit. After making all kinds of intricate scenes with layered buildings and water and whatnot, my mind went a little silly and the result is this card.

I started by masking the bottom part of the card while I was creating a fluffy cloud sky using a light blue oxcide ink. I then masked off the sky to create the grass in the same way, but this covering the whole panel. We don't want fluffy clouds in the grass.

I then cut a couple of strips of white card cardstock that I colored to make posts for the clothes line to hang. I also cut the clothes line using a die from the kit.

I colored the posts and the clothes using my copic markers. I created patterns on the clothes both by using different shades of copics and also by using a white gel pen to make dots, flowers, stripes and seems.

I glued the posts and clothes on the card before stamping the birds and the "Happy birthday" sentiment, also from the kit before I wrote the "no laundry today" sentiment using a black pen below the "happy birthday".

I glued my card panel on purple cardstock from the kit before I glued the whole thing to a white card base.

A really simple and colorful and quite silly card.

I am adding this card to the following challenges:
* Addicted to CAS - #159 Horizon
