Team colors and yellow, fluffy birds

We have a new challenge for you at The Male Room and this time we are doing team colors. You have all the choices in the world. You can make a sports project or maybe a Harry Potter-card. You can use only the colors of your team and not follow a sports theme or maybe you can use the colors of a logo you like.

For my DT-project I have used my hubby's favourite soccer team (Norwich city) as my inspiration. Their logo is a yellow canary bird on a green shield. Their kit are also yellow and green. So of course I desided to use a fluffy, bright yellow bird swimming in a see of green plants for my card.

I started by stamping my grass using a stamp from the June 2019 My Monthly Hero kit. I colored the images using copic markers and a white gel pen before I used a coordinating die to cut the grass.

I found this cute googly eyed bird among mu heeps of stash and it is so old that I have no idea where it came from (probably about 12 years old).

I used Lawn Fawn stitched dies to cut a rectangle with a circle hole in the bottom right corner. and covered the hole from the back using a left over piece of patterned paper with soft, blue waves on it.

I then placed my grass and the bird in and outside the circle before I stamped my sentiment from the Decemeber 2018 My Monthly Hero kit.

I finished my card by giving the grass streaks of Wink of Stella glitter pen and then I popped my card panel up on foam tape and glued it to a white card base.

I hope you will join us in the next couple of weeks.

  1. Super cute card! I had to see how you made that cute little duck. It is always fun to find that perfect something in your stash!

  2. I love this Lise! I also like when you can combine all sorts of old and newer items from your stash as you have here. The way you made your pond is very clever and I love the effect of the patterned paper. I think the duck looks a bit alarmed - perhaps there's a fox peering through the grasses! Aaargh! Vicky x
