Jump for joy - GD Time Out Challenges

Oh, look at that cutie! I am here today to remind you to add your cards to the Time Out Challenges "Nature" themed challenge since I am lucky enough to guest design for them for this challenge.

For the reminder post I made this card using the extremely sweet deer from the "Kitsch christmas" stamp set by Avery Elle. I decided to make this card a no line coloring-card as I did with my first card for this challenge.

I stamped my deer and my birch trees ("Joy to the woods" - lawn Fawn") and my leaf mounds ("Jump for joy" - Lawn Fawn) using the "Barely beige" stamp pad by Simon Says stamp. Since the ink is so light there was no need to mask the images before I stamped them. My copic markers would cover up the double lines here and there anyway.

I think I might have used every green color I own for the leaf and grass. I colored some of the leafs in the mounds and then I drew other shaped leafs as well and I also drew lots of grass and green in between to make a grassy and leafy hill for the deer to stand on. I used warm greys for the birch trees and a few browns and reddish browns for the deer as well as pink for the ear and nose. I also used a white gel pen for highlights and for the white spots on the deer's butt.

I lightly swiped a couple of very light blues from the bottom of the images and up to suggest the blue sky.

I stamped the sentiment using black versamark ink and then embossed it using clear embossing powder by Hero Arts. The sentiments are both from the "Jump for joy" stamp set by Lawn Fawn.

To finish the card I glued my one layer card panel on a white card base.

And that's that for my appearance at Time Out Challenges as a guest designer. It was such fun and I am very happy to be asked.

As I mentioned above you still have time to join the challenge if you want to make something nature related. I hope you will as you have the chance top win a lovely prize sponsored by Uniko.
