Interactive cake card

We're doing some cooking and baking over at The Male Room the next two weeks and I have made the following card as my design team project. I also got to use my brand new magic picture die by Lawn Fawn for the first time. Very fun!

So I started this card bu stamping and coloring the cakes (both the before-one and the after-one). They are both from the Lawn Fawn "Birthday before 'n' afters" stamp set. I made sure to use the same colors in the same way using my copic markers.

I then cut the images using the magic picture dies and then assembled the pieces to try the mechanism. It was really easy and very quick. I used some patterned paper and craft cardstock leftovers to create my frames to make the mechanism pretty. The big frame and the "pull" tab is from the add on set to the dies.

I glued the magic picture to a craft card baseusing foam tape to create room for the pull tab to be pulled before I consentrated on more embellishments. I stamped and colored images from the "Lawn Fawn "Baked with love" (frosting bag and rolling pin) and "Sprinkled with joy" (frosting box). I also stamped the sentiment from the "Birthday before 'n' afters" set on a white paper strip and glued all of these stamped images and sentiment around the picture frame.

I finished the card by adding a few white Nuvo drops across the card.

I hope you will join us in our baking weeks. I can't wait to see what manly (or boyish) baking projects you will make.
