A fairy congratulation
Lawnfawnatics have a really fun challenge going so I have been playing all yesterday to make this card and I had so much fun.
It's kind of hard deciding what is old releases and new releases, but I decided that the "Fairy friends" stamp set is an old one. I also used the "Toadally awesome" set wich I don't know if I am going to call old or not. But I guess the "Screen time" set is new.
I started stamping a whole bunch of images while trying to picture me scene. I already knew I wanted to use my new "Double slider surprise" die set, but in a different way since my thin tape is all gone, so I had two scenes to build.
I used my copic markers to color my images and highlighted them using a white gel pen. I also covered parts of the images with my Wink of Stella glitter brush pen (fairy wings, butterflies and wands). I love the sight of lots of colored and fussy cut images that I can play with and this time I totally fell in love with the fairy house that I colored to resemble a strawberry. It's so cute!
I made the sky, grass and water by blending oxcide inks on pieces of cardstock and activate them by drizzling some water drops on the pieces. I then cut the water into shape and cut the grass using a lawn fawn grass border die.
I glued on all my images, drew on some flying trails for the butterflies and the sentiments from the "Screen time" stamp set. I glued on some tiny "diamonds" for some extra sparkle and framed the panel using a Lawn fawn stitched rectangle frame die.
I created a little pocket behind the framed main panel to put my tab panel in and glued on a tab wich reads "pull" in norwegian. I popped the whole thing up on a white and then a yellow mat. I completed the card by glueing everything on a white card base.
A time consuming, but very fun card to make. I loved every second of it...even the fussy cutting part of it.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
* Lawn Fawnatics - Something old, something new (30.09)
* Simon says stamp wednesday challenge - Bling it on (26.09)
* Pattie's creations design challenge - Fairytale/fantasy (04.10)
