Make waves

Hi everyone. I hope the summer have been treating you well. I have been away from social media all summer spending time with my family. It's great to be back both online and in my house and I am ready to start paper crafting again after a summer break.

The Male Room challenge is turning 8 years this month and as a former DT at this challenge blog I am popping in as guest designer with a summery birthday card for a sailer man, or maybe a beach loving man.

I made this card mainly using the beautiful P13 - Beyond the sea 6x6 paper pad. I wanted to use one of the papers as the main picture, but I also wanted to look into the scene one way or another, so I cut a window through the front of my card base and backed it with a piece of see through packaging.

I then glued my scene patterned paper inside the card base and stamped my sentiment using a stamp from a My monthly hero stamp set.

I created a frame around the window on the front of the card using another patterned paper from the P13 paper pad. I then used jute string around the frame and window both on the inside oand outside of the card.

I fussy cut some of the images and tags from the paper pad to go both on the outside and inside of the card and finished the card with a couple of enamel dots.

Please join the fantastic team on The Male Room challenge in their celebration.

Happy birthday and thanks for having me.
