I've got your back

How scary is this; both a bluebell jellyfish and a great white shark going at you! Good thing I've got your back. Haha! A card for a lovely guy.

Today we are opening the June challenge at A Blog Named Hero and this month we are combining old and new Hero Arts stuff. For my card I have combined the new May 2020 My Monthly Hero kit and the old March 2019 My Monthly Hero kit. I have also used a few different ink blocks that has been in my stash for a good while.

I started this card by cutting a circle (using a circle die) from a scrap piece of paper. I then taped it on top of my white card stock and used the hole in the paper as a stencil and ink blended my background using the colors "Reactive blue water", "Deep ocean", "Summer sky", "Fiesta teal" and "Bubble gum" for a deep, vibrant and rich ocean.

I then pulled out my March 2019 MMH kit and stamped some sea weed and fish using "soft granite" to give the illusion of stuff happening in the background.

I removed the homemade stencil and stamped the great white from the May 2020 MMH kit shark using "Intense black" placing him so his tail is hanging outside the circle. I then cut the panel to size using a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle die.

I stamped a sentiment (also from the May kit) in black and cut it into a sentiment strip with a fish tail end. I popped the strip up on foam tape and glued it across the card. I also stamped the bluebell jellyfish using the "Deep ocean", "Summer sky" and "bubble gum" again and die cut it using the coordinating die and glued it to the sentiment strip.

I also glued on a few blue water drop embellishments in clusters on the card.

To finish my project I attatched the card panel to a light blue card base.

I hope you will dig a little deeper in you Hero Art stuff the following month and maybe try to combine things you have never combined before. I can't wait to see what you'll make.
I'm joining the following challenges:
* International art and soul - #85 Under the sea
* Tuesday throwdown - #459 Special guy
