Dashing through the snow

We are preparing for christmas the next couple of weeks at The Male Room and hoping that you will join us.

For my design team project I have combines stamp sets by Gerda Steiner designs and Hero Arts to make this crazyness of a christmas card.

I had this cute unused frog ("Frogs" stamp set by Gerda Steiner designs) from a previous project on my desk and started picturing him with a santa's hat in the snow and suddenly his extreme happiness was totally understandable. So I drew him a Santa's hat. I also found the "Sledding stamp 'n cut" by Hero Arts and stamped a few christmas presents and the sled.

I colored the images using my copic markers and highlighted them with a white gel pen before I fussy cut them.

I made the snowy slope by cutting a couple of layers of Simon says stamp glitter paper and I used a light blue Hero Arts stamp pad  to both the sky and the glitter paper. The stamp pad is reactive to water so I dripped a few water drops to the sky to create the illusion of snow before I cut the panel to size using a Lawn fawn rectangle die. I glued on the glittery snowy slopes and mounted my sled and presents on the top of the slope.

I used a banner die to create a stitched banner and stamped the sentiment (also from the "Sleding stamp 'n cut" set) on it before I glued it on the right side of the card panel. I then mounted the frog and his hat on the banner using foam tape.

For finishing touches I added a few glittery clear Nuvo drops all across the card panel before I mounted the whole thing on a white card base.

I would love to see your christmas card in our challenge.
