In orbit around you
𝆔𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥𝅰𝅘𝅥𝅰 "Like a satelite, I'm in an orbit all the way around you..." 𝆔𝅘𝅥𝅘𝅥𝅰𝅘𝅥𝅰 *singing frantically*
As I was coloring stamps from the awesome stamp set "To the moon" by Create a smile stamps one song kept spinning in my head..l.over and over and over again; "satelite" by Lena a song that maybe some of you remembers from The Eurovision Song Contest in 2010. Well, at least if you have a tiny incy bit of the nerdiness that I have...
Well...When I got the assignment from The Male Room challenge to make a moving parts project it was given...it had to be an orbit.
As I already had colored my stamped images using copic markers I just had to make a sky. I used several blue shades of distress oxcide inks, sprinkled it with silver glimmer mist and little droplets of water.
The sentiment is stamped using several stamp sets, all by citrus twist. Most of the words are parts of longer frases that I masked of. The word "orbit" is made of an alphabet stamp set. I white embossed the words and that made such a bright shinyness that the card really needed.
I then cut an orbit using a couple of circle dies and mounted the background parts on two layers of foam tape on a white card base. The orbit itself I glued inside the track without any foam tape.
I then made the moving part, the satelite. The satelite is mounted on three layers of foam tape on top of cardstock covered coin to make it heavy enough to orbit easily around the earth. I the glued on the earth and a few tiny stars.
I hope you will join us in this mechanical challenge the next couple of weeks.
