You got a grip on my heart

We are using tools in the new challenge at The Male Room today. Unfortunately I couldn't find one single tool amongst my stamps, patterned papers or embellishments to make my DT project, so I had to draw one. I found this wrench in our tool cabinet and tried to draw it as best as I could.

I colored it using my Zigs, or really just one Zig marker, and used a water brush to create the shading. I love how much you can do with only a few of these markers. I also made some small spatters using grey and black watercolors.

I cut down the panel using a stitched rectangle die and glued it on a black card base. I also made a black banner on wich I created a punny sentiment. The "GRIP" is created by silver embossing lovely alphabet stamps from Citrus Twist and coloring the insides of these with color pecils in greys and white.

I wrote the rest of the sentiment using my white gel pen. To finish the card I used black and silver Nuvo drops around the wrench.

I really hope you will join us in our tool challenge. I look forward to visiting your blog/instagram.

  3. My goodness Lise,

You're very talented to have hand drawn and colored your wrench, it is PERFECT! I totally respect hand drawn artistry, have been known to do this myself a time or two. Love the Punny sentiment.
