How owl you?

So this owl shaker card is a fun one, I think.

I got this idea to make a shaker in the owl's belly and I love how the green pearls brighten the neutral owl.

The background is lightly brushed using blue distress ink. I stamped the branches and the sentiment using stamps from the May My monthly hero kit. The colors of the branches are from the February my monthly hero kit.

The shaker owl is made from the biggest owl from the stamp set "stitched owls" from Creative Expressions. I cut out her belly, made a border around the belly using some foam tape and filled it with green, tiny pearls to match her eyes. I sure hope the green color is a fashion statement and not a sign of her being sick. But it could also mean that she have morning sickness and that I can expect lots of tiny owl shakers soon...)

Anyway... The owl is colored using copic markers and I glued her onto a fitting branch. And voila; she is done.

I'm entering the owl card in these challenges:
- The card concept - #95 {Owl Cherish Our Friendship} (Owl)
* Copic marker Norge - #98 Moodboard juni (Trees)
- Cards 4 Galz - # 73 Pretty and Pearly (Pearls in the owl shaker)

    1. Thank you so much for your sweet comment. The owl is certainly a bit of a "pretty girl". I'm quite sure she is spending some time admiring herself in a pond reflection. 😂
