Let's shell-ebrate!

Hi everyone. I am here today to show you my last inspiration card for the Celebration theme at A Blog Named Hero made using the “Pet turtle” stamp set as my inspiration jump off.

I stamped and colored the relaxed turtle using my copic markers and then I needed to create the rest of the card.

I remembered the layered sea stamps that I got in my June 2018 My Monthly hero kit and that you can also buy separately now and I thought it would be perfect as a relaxation spot for my turtle. I stamped the ocean using the Deep ocean, summer sky and soft sky ink blocks and also lightly colored the sky using the summer sky ink. I cut a slit in my sea and put the turtle in.

I stamped the sentiment “Let’s shell-ebrate” from the “Pet turtle” stamp set on the top part of my card panel. And now I needed a few more bits and pieces. I stamped and colored the clouds and flying seagull from the “Seas the day seagulls” set and glued them close to the sentiment and I also stamped an colored the bottle with the message from the “You & me by the sea” set and placed it on the sea as well.

I thought I was done at this point and glued my card panel to a white card base and then I saw a leftover light post from a previous project lying around on my desk (The light post is from the MMH October 2018 kit). The light posts bottom part looked just like the handle on a fishing rod, so… with minor surgery it became just that. I drew on the fishing line and hook and “attatched” the fishing line to to the bottle. A perfect last detail to the card.

I'm adding this card to the following challenges:
* Simon says stamp monday challenge - Vacation
* TGIF Challenges - #215 Color challenge
* Little red wagon - #501 Sea it
* Crafty sentiments design - Water
