A roaring good time
The weeks are flying away and we're already at the end of February. And today we are here with a new challenge at The Male Room Challenge. This time its's an easy one, Anything goeas with an optional challenge of using no designer papers.
For my card I have used the My Monthly hero kit that arrived on my door a couple of days ago. I started with my background wich I created using distress oxcide inks (mermaid lagoon and faded jeans) through the art deco stencil that came with my kit. I also glued on a piece of black cardstock at the bottom part to ground my car. I glued on a strip of golden ribbon to mimick the yellow stripe in the middle of the road.
I stamped my car and gold embossed it before coloring it using my copic markers (W7, W5, W3, W1, C9, C7, Y11). I made some highlights using a white gel pen. I popped the car up on foam squares and glued it on the "road". For the sentiments and music notes I stamped them directly on the background and clear embossed them.
I then glued my card panel on a piece of gold mirror cardstock for a thin, shiny border (barely visible on my pictures) and finally glued the whole thing on a white card base using foam tape to create even more dimension.
I hope you will join us the next couple of weeks.
I am joining the following challenges:

This is fantastic. Your inking on that fabulous stencil is so well done. Great idea to emboss the car in gold - you've colored it beautifully. Looks great set on the black, adn that gold strip is the perfect accent. This is perfect for our retro challenge at Time Out. Thanks so much for playing with us!
